As Jon Gruden and Reggie go through the roster to see which new players we need via free agency, Raider Nation and the Pillaging crew already have an idea which position groups need upgrading. As it stands right now, without paying Khalil Mack or cutting anyone, Oakland has a little over $15 Million in salary available to offer free agents.

Ok, after last year’s run I’m sure most of us thought we would be looking at securing a bye right about now instead of clinging to our collective playoff lives. That said, it is what it is and we need to make some statistical lemonade. It’s hard to believe that we were 7-2 a mere 12 months ago. So why, one year later, are we sitting at 4-5? Headed into a must win situation the Raiders come into Thursday night with their backs against the wall. Subsequently, Oakland answered the call in a game that will go down in the history books. This was one for the ages. This one was a classic.

The Oakland Raiders returned home Sunday for their first of three straight home games. A hapless Baltimore offense traveled to Oakland for a tilt that seemed to favor a struggling Raiders team. The Ravens came to town having scored just 16 points in two weeks. Furthermore, Joe Flacco has thrown 6 picks through 4 games (3rd worst in the NFL). In what seemed like a matchup that favored an Oakland defense that kept their team in the last two games, the defense crumbled from the start…namely Sean Smith.
