There was a time they said the Raiders played down to the level of their competition. Before then, there was a time when they dominated no matter what—those times are back. In a game that set the Silver and Black up for simple success, Raider Nation got exactly what it was looking for—a bona fide blowout victory.
I would be lying if I said the way the rest of the season played out didn’t throw a bit of a wrench into the outcome of this piece, forcing me to redo a good portion of the article. With Cooper and Crabtree having what many would call a lackluster finish to the season for the second year running, and other variables effecting comparable team’s outcomes, I even wondered if this topic was still relevant and worth considering.
