Come aboard the Pillaging Podcast as we break down last week’s game against Carolina, look forward to the Bills, and discuss the what rest of the season has in store for the AFC West.
I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Now let’s get back to work and Back In Black…
I was sent this article a little over a week ago. I think this is a good time to post it. It reminded me of the fact (not that I forgot) that everyone is here with a unique story. The one thing that unites us all is our love for our team. We come from different walks of life but this, this is something we all share. Be thankful for your friends and family. Be thankful our team is back to greatness. Be thankful for your brothers and sisters that make up this family we call the Raider Nation.
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone,
Join us on this week’s episode of The Pillaging Podcast while we sip rum and wax poetic on the Silver and Black.
8-2!!! What a game….Stealin’ one just like a Pirate should!
Right now we are going to geek out and talk playoffs. For the first time in over 13 years, we finally look to be on a sustainable path that will get this Raider Ship into the playoffs. No more ‘Ten and Then’ or even ‘Five and We Are Alive’ nonsense. What we will be discussing here, good friends, is the myriad of possibilities associated with the 2016 playoff run we are deeply immersed in right now.
It’s been 14 years since our favorite squad, the Silver & Black were relevant. 14 years ago? A lot has changed:
When I graduated from UC Davis in 1981, my girlfriend and future ex-wife, had a job in LA at Oscar Meyer so we moved to Westminster. My father at the time was semi-retired and purchasing a small company in Orange County. I had worked warehouse and trucking jobs over the past few years, so he asked me to help out and verify the inventory, meet with the vendors and manufacturers of the product, among other tasks. Five years later, we were bankrupt, but it was a great run.
As this is my first post here, I’d like to pontificate on how qualified (or unqualified) I am to give any kind of vision of who the Raiders are this year. But alas, I will settle for giving unqualified predictions on what the next 7 games will look like for the Silver and Black.
As a biased Raider fan the rest of the week in the NFL only matters to me as much as it affects the Raiders in the standings or the general downfall of our most hated rivals. So fellow homers, here is who you should root for week 11 as a Raider fan.
Just a little over a month ago that name was barely even waiver wire fodder in Madden 2017 Franchise Mode. Fast forward to now—not only did Riley Jr. show up 5 days after signing only to lead the team in tackles, he went three consecutive weeks as our highest rated defender according to PFF.
