Headed into a must win situation the Raiders come into Thursday night with their backs against the wall. Subsequently, Oakland answered the call in a game that will go down in the history books. This was one for the ages. This one was a classic.

All Eyes on Smith

The Oakland Raiders returned home Sunday for their first of three straight home games. A hapless Baltimore offense traveled to Oakland for a tilt that seemed to favor a struggling Raiders team. The Ravens came to town having scored just 16 points in two weeks. Furthermore, Joe Flacco has thrown 6 picks through 4 games (3rd worst in the NFL). In what seemed like a matchup that favored an Oakland defense that kept their team in the last two games, the defense crumbled from the start…namely Sean Smith.

Quick Study: The Stick Route

Chase from Raiders Unsung Heroes illustrates the Raiders’ go-to route against Denver last week. The video below shows how the Raiders ran the same simple concept with continued success. Furthermore, by using various formations to disguise the concept, the Raiders are able to return to this concept for quick yards 6 times in the game.

Week 4: The _akland Raiders

The first quarter of the 2017 NFL season has come to a close and the Oakland Raiders sit at 2-2. Back to back anemic performances by the highly touted Raider offense has earned them 3rd place in their division. The news gets worse as Raider Nation has just learned their star quarterback will be out 2-6 weeks as a result of a spinal fracture incurred during Sunday’s game against the Denver Broncos.

That would be my advice to an unrecognizable Oakland Raiders team that embarrassed themselves and their fan base on National television. Just as Oakland swaggered in to the Nation’s capitol on Sunday night, they left with their tails between their legs.
