It was 1990, and Tecmo Bowl had just come out for Nintendo. I was 10 at that time, and I was living in Lima, Peru, and somehow I had come across a copy of the game. Until then, the only thing I knew of football was that it was played with a weird shaped ball.
BBQ was good.
First time at Arrowhead, nostalgic stadium.
Most of the fans were courteous, and some not so much.
Howdy, folks! Another week in the books and unfortunately another KC beat down. This time on their turf in freezing temperatures. Attempting to quickly put that loss behind us, I decided for this week’s column that I wanted to take what I believe is a well-deserved, in depth look, at several UDFA’s.
When I first saw Reggie McKenzie and Mark Davis in a presser I thought to myself: “This franchise is doomed.” Together they looked like Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum.
Hello once again Raider brethren. What a wild ride we have been on this year! I don’t think any of us saw this coming (and if you say did, well then you are lying!). In any case, this ride is far from over. In fact, we are just starting to get warmed up.
It’s time to pillage another podcast! Come aboard as we breakdown the Raiders spectacular comeback victory against the Buffalo Bills. We’ll also look through the spyglass towards the Raiders and Chiefs rivalry bout on Thursday Night Football.
The NFL is now entering it’s final stretch of the regular season. December football is upon us and yet the Autumn Wind is still storming the country. The Raiders’ 9-2 record currently slots them in as the second seed in the AFC. They hold a one game lead over Kansas City, who already have a victory over the Raiders in Oakland.
In 1991 the league’s first African-American head coach would lead a silver laden team of football giants to the AFC Championship game. Despite this incredible social accomplishment, the team would go on to be decimated by Jim Kelley and the Buffalo Bills.
Derek Carr is easily A better human being, than he is a QB, and we all know, he’s a damn good Signal Caller.
I would be lying if I said I haven’t been waiting several long years for this opportunity. I pride myself on finding topics other beat writers and fan sites don’t seem to gravitate towards. I truly hate going with the cliché topics as I personally feel it’s rather counterproductive to what a creative writer (if that’s what some may consider me) intends to accomplish.
